Week one of SBD finished

Well, my husband and I decided it's time to really watch what we eat. The South Beach Diet has worked for us in the past, but all those tasty, bad for you carbs - yes white bread I am talking to you- made their way back into our diet.  With the desire to eat healthy and new info from our doctor regarding Dan's rising cholesterol levels, prompting a new medication, it was time for a change.  I am happy to report that my hubby has lost nearly 5 pounds and his "Buddha" belly is starting to shrink.  Yay!!  I am doing it not to lose weight, although losing 5 pounds would be nice, but for my own battle with Crohn's disease.  I know it's not really a diet for people with IBD but it's healthy, makes sense to me and so far has been pretty good.  Hoping we can keep up the good work for the second week.
