3 more days and...

Summer school will be over! I can't wait.  This was my first experience working summer school and sadly, it will be my last.  I truly don't like it.  Here we are, busting our butts with our kids during the year, really working with them and helping them learn. Thinking along the way, that the other classrooms within our program are run the same way. {they are supposed to be} Only to see first hand, through these summer school kids, that they are not.  What are these other teachers teaching them?  Why are they still teaching? I do understand that some if it is their home environment, but basic classroom rules like sitting in circle time, washing your hands before eating and after using the bathroom, or even walking in a line.  Honestly!  This is what I needed tonight {and is on my Chicago trip list) Love.
